9 Million iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C sold in first three days, Apple set new record
Apple has sold out 9 million iPhone 5S and 5C just in three days means the first weekend. Well this is not a figure to be amazed because it was expected, yet Apple did extremely good job and made a new record. If we flip the pages we will know that Apple’s iPhone5 also did great by selling 5 million phones in same duration.
Tim cook said:
“This is our best iPhone launch yet more than nine million new iPhones sold―a new record for first weekend sales,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we’ve sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone.”
In addition to Apple’s sale, iTunes is also highlighted, according to Apple:
Over 11 million unique listeners have already tuned in to iTunes Radio since launch with the most listened to song being “Hold On, We’re Going Home” by Drake.
Now if we talk about sales figure of new iPhones, figure is going to be higher because still iPhone 5S and 5C is not available worldwide. The figures will push up when it will be available for sale in every country. This sales figure also increased Apple’s stock market share. And its not only this, in just 5 days 200 million devices are updated to iOS7 unlike Android which takes a hell lot of time to release upgradation.
