Google today tried to break the WhatsApp deal, was willing to pay more than $19 billion
Google tried really hard to bring WhatsApp under its wide spread network reports AppleInsider. Larry Page, CEO Google, tried its best till the end to bring WhatsApp under its very own umbrella but Mark got a deal for this. Page was already on its last effort to pay more than $19 billion for WhatsApp. The report says:
The sales pitch by Page wasn’t enough, as WhatsApp officials reportedly felt that it was Facebook, not Google, that would allow them to operate more independently. WhatsApp executives also reportedly felt they had more of a “shared vision” with Facebook than Google.
