Sony Xperia M2, a mid range mobile with quad-core chip and brilliant design
Sony has also unveiled an new mid-range smartphone named Sony Xperia M2, which looks like a smaller brother of Xperia Z2 in terms of design and performance. Sony made Xperia M2 is inheriting the same glassy body on rear which started its trend from Xperia Z. Building a mid-range device, the company added a Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM and qHD screen. This 4.8-inches of Xperia M2 is actually a twin of Xperia C with almost same specs but different processors clocked at same frequency. Xperia C is on MediaTek’s processor while this runs on Snapdragon 800 and is 2-inches bigger.
The front camera loaded on Xperia C was no better than some old scrap, hope to see a good front camera in Xperia M2. Undoubtedly, the rear 8MP camera with Sony’s custom made Exmor RS sensor will enhance your camera experience. Sony Xperia M2 comes running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box. If you luck enough and your country is having LTE (4G) technology, then this phone will also support LTE for you. Xperia M2 is having 8GB internal storage out of which only 5GB(approx.) is available for user, rest to used by OS. Don’t scratch your head on this, this is Jelly Bean OS and Sony has also added micro-SD card support till 32GB.
Following the same trend, Sony Xperia M2 will be available in three colours; Black, White and Purple. There is no official wordings on price but being a mid-range smartphone, expect it to come under $400. Take a look what Sony has in this short video:
